Condensed Milk

The weekend, in...short?
Firstlies of all, I was in the kitchen this week, so that was my job for the weekend. Friday, we had a small group for breakfast and lunch, and a decent (70+) group for dinner. Saturday breakfast and lunch were the same group of 70ish, not too bad.
I got off Saturday at 2 (Erica covered my shift, so I have to plant bulbs for her some time this week) to get ready for (and go to) Mel's christmas concert at NWU. It was pretty fun. Mel's group was the biggest, loudest and soulest. They swayed, they Kirk Franklined, it moved me Bob.
Saturday evening Lyd and I watched Pride and Prejudice straight through. I thought it was pretty good. It didn't move as slow as I was somewhat expecting it to be (and the color commentary helped a lot too ;). Mr. Bennett was Totally the best character in the movie. All throughout I was speculating who could be in the new one. I know there was one particular celloist who could be played marvelously by Tom Cruise.
Mr. Colins = ick.
Today, breakfast was cancelled (yeah no work), so I was able to go about my usual Sunday morning routine and head to church. The fearsome foursome took lunch at Lyd's; honey-baked chicken with rice, corn and pan-fried veggies. This was all followed with a long afternoon and evening of rest and relaxation.
Tomorrow is a long morning followed by decorating EBC for the season...finally! So far, the crew is Lyd, Anita and I. Cindy will be making a cameo with Andrew and Nicholas. She might be able to help, but they'll most likely just be very welcome company. Hopefully Diane and Kim can come to help :). Nobody really knows about it, since Anita and I basically planned the thing this morning! Oh well, we're going to basically have all the same people we did last year (go, team, go!).

And with that, I shall take my rest. I have a small lump on the back of my noggin from a wicked spill outside Lyd's apartment, a bruised and bloodied knee and battle-damage-action pants! Too bad I just washed them yesterday, though...

And can it be that I should gain...
