Jubilee

Ok, so tonight all six interns and Satchmo went to XXX Root Beer for dinner and then headed to Fred Meyer to pick up ginger bread (graham cracker) house supplies!
When we got back to camp, just three of us stayed to work on the house. But that's ok, because there wouldn't really be room for more anyway.
So here are the fruits of our labor. Sarah, Ryan and I worked on it for about two hours. We used a can of cream cheese frosting for the base and structural support, three boxes of cinnamon graham crackers, green icing in a tube, red icing in a tube (both with fancy tips), mini marshmallows, Dots, big fat gum drops, Apple-O's, Peachie-O's and a can of rainbow chip frosting to paint the outside of our house! Quite the list, eh?
On to the pictures!

The top picture is the house after we had pretty well finished constructing it, but before the paint and final decor went on.
The middle picture is the front of the house. Rainbow chip paint, icing garland with icing flowers, an O's wreath display above the entry and an Apple-O wreath on the door with flowers.
The lower picture is a nice view of the completed house. The initials read top to bottom, left to right. Sarah C, Bruce Me :), and Ryan J. That was Ryan's doing.
The house is approximately two and a half stories tall. It was a lot of fun to build. I had a good chance to get nice and detail oriented and all that, which is good to do every once in a while.

Now I'm tired and it's past my bed time. Hope you all enjoy seeing our awesome graham house. It's awesome. And building it was tons of fun.
Yay for the season!

Nice work! It looks like it was a lot of fun- I like that wreath on the front door! Are we all still going to make those one of these days?
